Dr. Catherine Brentnall is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), joining in September 2023. She specializes in enterprise education, sustainable entrepreneurship, and innovative research methodologies. Her work integrates practical consultancy experience with academic rigor, focusing on transforming traditional business practices in response to climate and ecological crises.

- Teaching: Leads the MSc in Entrepreneurship (from 2024) and MBA modules on Transformational Applied Entrepreneurship
Her research challenges conventional assumptions, particularly through Realist Evaluation and dialogic inquiry. Notable projects include a 2023 study on enterprise education’s role in sustainability and a 2024 analysis of cooperative business impacts. She advocates for regenerative business design and has published in journals like the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research.
