Dr. Cate Pemble (also referred to as Catherine Pemble) is a Research Fellow (Qualitative) at the University of Stirling, based in the Colin Bell Building. She is affiliated with the Dementia and Ageing research group and contributes to the university's research programmes in Ageing and Dementia, Being Connected, and Health & Behaviour. Her interdisciplinary work spans sociology, philosophy, disability studies, gerontology, housing studies, social work, and psychology.
Research Interests:
Cate's research focuses on critical social and health-related topics, including:
- Dementia, disability, autism, and mental health studies
- Embodiment, sexuality, and spatial dynamics (Place and Space)
- Discrimination, citizenship, and human rights frameworks
