Cate Parry is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Arts and Humanities, Edith Cowan University (ECU). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from ECU awarded in 2012. Her research focuses on forensic psychology, criminology, and mental health within criminal justice contexts, with particular emphasis on risk assessment methodologies, Indigenous justice issues, and social care for vulnerable populations. Dr. Parry has contributed to studies analyzing procedural barriers faced by detainees, mental health factors in incarcerated populations, and service provision for aging adults during prolonged isolation. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in legal and social systems. Currently based at ECU’s Joondalup Campus, she maintains active collaborations in interdisciplinary criminal justice and health studies.
