Bruce Watt is an Associate Professor at Bond University's Faculty of Society & Design, affiliated with the Centre for Data Analytics. He teaches and conducts research in forensic psychology, juvenile offending, and mental health interventions. Accepting PhD students, he has supervised 10 works focusing on forensic psychology, aggression, arson, and psychopathy.
Education: MPsych (Edith Cowan University, 1996) and PhD (UNSW, 2007) on family treatments for antisocial youth. His career spans correctional settings, child forensic mental health, and evaluations of community programs.
Research interests include arson-related homicides, high-risk psychotic phenomena, juvenile threats, and skateboard injury case studies. Recent projects explore childhood adversity links to alexithymia and autism spectrum effects on alcohol/binge eating. Collaborations focus on Queensland-based studies in criminal behavior and mental health.
