Cataldo Ruta serves as SDA Associate Professor in Management Practice at SDA Bocconi School of Management, part of Bocconi University. He holds multiple leadership roles including Academic Director of the Executive Master in Business of Events (EMBE) in collaboration with Milano Cortina 2026, Scientific Director of the FIFA Master program, and head of Bocconi University's Sport Business and Management program. Additionally, he maintains affiliate professorships at Columbia University and Josoor Institute in Doha.
His educational foundation includes a Business Administration degree from Bocconi University (1999), PhD in Business Administration from the University of Bologna (2003), and completion of IMD's International Teachers Program (2007).

Ruta founded the Sport & Entertainment Knowledge Center at SDA Bocconi and leads the Bocconi Sport Talents program supporting student-athletes. He also serves as president of Sport4Talent Foundation, implementing sports-based educational interventions for vulnerable children in Taranto and beyond.
