Chiara Bigotto is a Research Fellow at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Bocconi University, based at the Sport and Entertainment Knowledge Center. She is concurrently pursuing a PhD in Physical Exercise and Sport Sciences at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Università Statale di Milano.
Her educational background includes:
- Master of Science in Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment from Università Bocconi (2016)
Her research focuses on major events management in sports and entertainment, with a key interest in the tangible and intangible legacies of sports events. She also examines sport as a tool for promoting psychophysical well-being and social inclusion.
Her scholarly output includes research on the legacy of sports events, as evidenced by her 2023 publication in Economia & Management which analyzes the lasting impacts of such events.
Chiara coordinates the Executive Master in Business of Events (EMBE) in partnership with Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, and has previously led Diploma Programs in Sports Management and Major Events Management with Josoor Institute in Doha. She collaborates with the Bocconi Alumni Association on Sport initiatives. Additionally, she has participated in research and training projects with leading international sports organizations including FIBA, UEFA, FIGC, NBPA, and Ryder Cup 2023.
She is actively involved in the Sport and Entertainment Knowledge Center, which drives her research and professional projects in sport and event management.
