Cassis Kilian is a researcher at the Institute of Ethnology at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Since January 2023, she has been a research associate leading the project Humour as an Epistemic Practice of the Political Present (NoJoke) under Mirco Göpfert's supervision. With a professional background as an actress spanning two decades, she transitioned to academia and earned her doctorate in anthropology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2011.
