Raúl Acosta

Raúl Acosta is a researcher at Goethe University Frankfurt's Institute of Ethnology, specializing in political anthropology, urban studies, and environmental governance. He is currently involved in the ERC-funded NoJoke project and co-leads the DGSKA Working Group on Urban Anthropology.

His research explores technomoral governance, urban bioinfrastructures, and political humor, with fieldwork focused on Latin America (Mexico, Brazil). Recent publications examine urban mobility, coastal ecologies, and molecular urbanism.
