Cassandra W. Adams is the Assistant Dean for Public Interest Law and Assistant Professor of Law in Residence at the University of Alabama School of Law. With over 30 years of service in academia and the legal profession, she has held positions at Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, Wake Forest School of Law, The University of Texas School of Law, and Vanderbilt University School of Law. Her work focuses on civil and family mediation, restorative justice, ethics, and access to justice.

Adams’ research explores mechanisms to enhance conflict resolution, victim advocacy, and legal ethics, with a strong emphasis on equitable access to justice systems. She has contributed to policy dialogues through her role in Alabama United, an initiative addressing systemic challenges in African American communities.
