Cassandra Terry

Cassandra Terry is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Protein Pathology at London Metropolitan University's School of Human Sciences. Her research examines protein misfolding in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and type 2 diabetes, with a focus on therapeutic development. She leads the Molecular Systems for Health Research Group and teaches across medical bioscience programs.

Terry has received multiple awards including the MRC Special Award and Tony Ball Memorial Prize for prion research. Her work combines structural biology with clinical applications, investigating amyloid formation mechanisms and developing novel diagnostic approaches.
