Casey Mainsbridge is a Senior Lecturer in Personal Development, Health and Physical Education at the School of Education, Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education, University of New England (UNE). He contributes significantly to teacher education and health promotion through teaching, research, and leadership in higher education.

His research focuses on health, physical activity, behavior change, HPE pedagogy, and student engagement. He investigates strategies to reduce sedentary behavior in workplaces, improve health literacy in schools, and enhance online student engagement. His work bridges exercise science and education, with a strong emphasis on practical interventions and curriculum development.
His recent publications reflect a consistent focus on public health, ergonomics, educational pedagogy, and behavior change. Themes include sedentary behavior reduction, health literacy, online learning engagement, and the delivery of health and physical education in schools. His interdisciplinary approach integrates sociology, psychology, and health sciences to address real-world educational and health challenges.

He is a member of professional organizations including ACHPER, Fitness Australia, Triathlon Australia, and the Tasmanian Active Living Coalition, and serves on the Sport, Physical Activity and Active Recreation in Tasmanian Schools committee.
He teaches key units such as EDPE247 (Teaching Physical Education in Primary Schools), EDPE346 (Teaching Health Education in Primary Schools), and EDPE314 (Health and Physical Education in the Primary School), shaping future educators with evidence-based practices.
