Nicole "Nikki" Kurth is a Senior Lecturer I and Fitness Coordinator at Oregon State University's School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences. She holds a BSc in Physiology from San Francisco State University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer and strength coach. Her career includes coaching professional athletes and high-level competitors across various sports. She also serves as the Activity Area Leader for Fitness and leads the OSU Fitness and Wellness Program.
Her expertise focuses on adaptive exercise solutions, athletic performance optimization, and community wellness initiatives. She coordinates the Physical Activity Course Program (PAC) and contributes to the Office of Physical Activity and Health Programs. Her certifications include USAT Level 1 Coach, AFAA Personal Trainer, NCCPT Indoor Cycling Instructor, and ACSM Certified Personal Trainer.
Kurth has competed in 15 years of triathlon events, demonstrating practical engagement in endurance sports. She oversees the Adaptive Exercise Clinic and integrates hands-on training methodologies into her academic and community roles.
