Cary Moskovitz is a Professor at Duke University, affiliated with the Thompson Writing Program. He directs the NSF-funded Text Recycling Research Project and previously led Duke's Writing in the Disciplines program from 2006-2023.
His research interests focus on text recycling (‘self-plagiarism’), student writing in science curricula, and innovative feedback methods like audio feedback. His professional experience spans faculty roles at Virginia Tech, Westbrook College, and the University of New England before joining Duke in 2001.
Education: Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering (North Carolina State University), M.Arch (Virginia Tech). He teaches courses including Academic Writing, Engineering Mechanics, and Teaching Writing in the Natural Sciences.
