Daniel Stegmueller is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Duke University and Co-Director of Graduate Studies for the Master of Arts in Analytical Political Economy. He holds affiliations with Nuffield College (University of Oxford) and CAGE (University of Warwick). His research focuses on political economy, political behavior, and political sociology, with emphasis on economic and political inequality dynamics in advanced democracies. Recent work explores topics such as HIV prevention strategies among MSM populations and the interplay between global competition and political representation.
His grants include projects like 'Integrating a combination HIV prevention intervention into a widely-used geosocial app for Chinese MSM' (funded by Emory University, 2021–2023) and 'Inequalities, Insurance, Incentives and Immigration' (University of Essex, 2016–2017).
