معرفی
Dr. Carsten Leven-Pfister is a researcher at the Center for Applied Geosciences (ZAG) within the Faculty of Science at the University of Tübingen, Germany. He leads the working group on 'Hydrogeological Site Investigation Methods' and is based in the Department of Geosciences. His work is focused on advanced hydrogeological and geophysical methods for subsurface characterization.
His research interests center on hydrogeological site investigation, with a strong emphasis on hydraulic testing methods and Direct Push technology. These approaches are critical for environmental site assessments, contaminant transport studies, and sustainable groundwater management. His expertise bridges applied geology, geophysics, and environmental engineering, contributing to both academic understanding and practical field applications.
Throughout his career, Dr. Leven-Pfister has held research positions at the Center for Environmental Research (ZAG), Boise State University, and the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig, where he led a working group on Direct Push methods. He also has professional experience as a consultant in Switzerland.
He completed his doctoral studies in Applied Geology at the University of Tübingen in 2003, following a degree in Geology with a focus on Applied Geology and Geophysics at the same institution. His academic and professional trajectory reflects a deep commitment to applied environmental geosciences.
