Carrie Hoeksema is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Music at Calvin University, conducting the Women’s Chorale since 2024. With over three decades of experience as Director of Choirs for Kentwood Public Schools, she brings expertise in choral pedagogy and artistic literature curation to her role.

- Bachelor of Music Education from Central Michigan University (CMU) under Dr. Nina Nash Robertson
- Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University (MSU) under Dr. Charles K. Smith
Her research interests focus on choral conducting techniques, vocal performance, and music education strategies that emphasize connectivity and emotional impact in ensemble settings.
Throughout her career, her choirs have received numerous accolades, including Outstanding Ensemble recognition at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival and selection as Master Class clinic choirs for ACDA-MI State Conventions.
