Carolyn Choi is Assistant Professor of American Studies at Princeton University's Effron Center for the Study of America. Her research examines intersections of empire, gender, class, and educational politics, with a focus on South Korean youth mobilities across militarized and settler contexts.
Her current book project investigates stratified experiences of South Korean educational and labor migration in the Philippines, Australia, United States, and Saipan. Dr. Choi's interdisciplinary work appears in International Migration Review, Global Networks, and positions: asia critique.
She is also co-author of children's books on intersectional feminism including 'IntersectionAllies: We Make Room for All' and 'Love Without Bounds: An IntersectionAllies Book about Families'. A former Fulbright and Department of Education fellow, Dr. Choi holds a Ph.D. in sociology from USC.
