Caroline Scruggs is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community and Regional Planning (CRP) at the University of New Mexico (UNM), affiliated with the School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P). Her work focuses on environmental planning, water resources, and policy analysis. She holds BS and MS degrees in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech and an interdisciplinary PhD in Environment and Resources from Stanford University.
Her research employs mixed methods to address environmental challenges, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration. Key affiliations include UNM’s Water Resources Program, Center for Water & the Environment, Geography & Environmental Studies, and Sustainability Studies. Funding sources include the NSF and New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute (NMWRRI).
