Caroline J. Davis is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Theatre Arts at Furman University. She specializes in acting, textual analysis, and theatre history, and is deeply involved in directing, dramaturgy, and stage management. Her work bridges academic and practical theatre, emphasizing collaboration and community engagement.
Education:
- M.F.A. in Theatrical Performance and Pedagogy, Texas Tech University
- B.A. in Theatre Arts with a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Furman University
Research & Interests: Davis focuses on theatre education, feminist interpretations of performance, and inclusive practices in theatre. She actively explores the intersection of theatre with social issues, including autism spectrum disorder and LGBTQ+ advocacy through her work with Upstate Pride SC and the South Carolina Children's Theatre.
