Caroline Daly is a Research Fellow at the National Suicide Research Foundation (NSRF), affiliated with University College Cork (UCC). She holds dual roles as a Post-Doctoral Researcher on the National Self-Harm Registry, Ireland (NSHRI), and as a Research Officer with the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP). She co-founded and co-chairs the IASP Early Career Group (ECG). Her research focuses on factors associated with non-fatal drug overdoses and suicide prevention strategies, combining epidemiological methods with public health interventions.
Education: BSc in Public Health and Health Promotion from UCC. Professional Experience: Joined NSRF in 2009, collaborating on projects such as 'Mind Yourself', 'SEYLE', and 'OSPI-Europe'.
Research Interests: Examines individual and area-level determinants of self-harm behaviors, drug overdose patterns, and implementation science for suicide prevention programs. Active in developing evidence-based interventions for youth mental health and optimizing prevention strategies across Europe.
Grants & Collaborations: Involved in multinational initiatives including EU-funded studies on youth suicide prevention. Her work bridges academic research with practical public health policy development.
