Caroline Bem is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Literatures and Languages of the World at Université de Montréal. Her research bridges Intermediality, Queer Studies, and Gender in Media, examining ethical and aesthetic intersections in visual arts, film, and video games.

Bem is an active researcher with funding from SSHRC (2024–2026) and FRQSC. She supervises MA and PhD students in intermediality, gender studies, and digital humanities.
