Carol Everson, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), with a secondary appointment in the Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology & Anatomy. Her research focuses on the physiological consequences of sleep deprivation, particularly its impact on immune, endocrine, and metabolic systems. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and has held academic positions at the NIH, University of Tennessee, and MCW since 2000. Her work explores sleep’s role in health, chronic sleep restriction’s pathological effects, and interventions for sleep-related disorders.
