Carol Davy

Carol Davy serves as an Adjunct Professor at Flinders University within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and as an Associate Member of the Caring Futures Institute. Holding a PhD in Primary Health Care from the University of South Australia (2009), she leverages extensive executive experience including CEO of an aged care service, Director of Ambulatory Care, and Northern Territory Health Reform Manager.

Research Interests: Her work centers on ageing and aged care, primary health care, service delivery modelling, and implementation science with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. She develops innovative solutions to complex health challenges through cross-sector partnerships across tertiary, primary, and aged care sectors.

Recent Research Trends: Her 2025 publications examine implementation barriers and enablers in aged care through literature analyses and scoping reviews, emphasizing individual attitudes, relational dynamics, stakeholder engagement, and champion roles to advance evidence-based practice.

Supervision and Funding: Carol has co-supervised two PhD students and served as principal supervisor for two Master's students in Aboriginal health. Her grant portfolio includes a Commonwealth Dementia and Aged Care grant and an NHMRC project grant focused on older Aboriginal people's well-being.
