Carmen Garcia-Rasilla is an Associate Professor of Spanish language, literature, and culture at the University of New Hampshire's College of Liberal Arts. She holds dual Ph.D.s in History (University of Valladolid, Spain) and Literature (Johns Hopkins University), enabling interdisciplinary research in both fields. Her expertise spans Spanish literature, surrealism, cultural studies, and urban history.
Education: Ph.D. in History (Universidad de Valladolid), Ph.D. in Literature (Johns Hopkins University), M.A., and Licenciatura (Universidad de Valladolid).
Research focuses on Salvador Dalí’s literary works, Spanish historical novels, Don Quixote, Don Juan mythology, and 20th-century urban history. She has authored monographs like Salvador Dalí's Literary Self-Portrait (2009) and co-edited volumes on Cervantes and Spanish surrealism. Her work bridges comparative literature, art, and cultural analysis.
