Carlotta Lunghi is a Researcher at the Department of Life Sciences, Health and Health Professions, Link Campus University, Rome. She holds a Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Techniques and a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Florence, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (specializing in Pharmacoepidemiology) from Université Laval, Canada.
Her research focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, therapeutic adherence, medication use in vulnerable populations (e.g., elderly, mental health patients), and environmental sustainability in healthcare. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and presented at numerous conferences.
She has secured grants from institutions like the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS). She collaborates with national and international institutes, and has served as a professor of pharmacoepidemiology at Université du Québec à Rimouski and as a researcher at the University of Bologna’s Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences (DIMEC).
She is a member of the European Drug Utilisation Research Group (EuroDURG), the ENABLE network, the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF), and the Italian Association of Epidemiology (AIE).
