Carlos Ramos serves as the Margaret E. Deffenbaugh and LeRoy T. Carlson Professor in Comparative Literary Studies and Professor of Spanish at Wellesley College, specializing in Spanish and Portuguese literature and cultural history spanning the 19th to 21st centuries. His work examines the intersections of urbanization, modernization, and artistic expression in Spain.
