Dr Carlo Morelli is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Dundee and a Guest Lecturer at the Centre for British Studies (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin). His research integrates geography, economics, and history to address contemporary public policy challenges, with a focus on inequality, income distribution, and poverty in Scotland and the UK. He examines issues such as child poverty, regional devolution, globalisation, and the impact of the Living Wage.
His current research investigates extreme and persistent poverty in the UK. He teaches courses on labour markets, inequality, and income distribution at the Centre for British Studies (GBZ).
