Carlangelo Liverani

Carlangelo Liverani is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Roma Tor Vergata, Italy, where he has been a faculty member since 1988, progressing from Tenured Assistant Professor to full Professor. He also holds a visiting position at the University of Maryland's Department of Mathematics.

His research focuses on Dynamical Systems, Non-equilibrium Statistical Mechanics, and Quantum Mechanics, with significant contributions to ergodic theory and the mathematical foundations of statistical physics. He has organized numerous international conferences and workshops on dynamical systems and related fields.

Professor Liverani serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals including Rendiconti Lincei, Rendiconti di Matematica, Bollettino Unione Matematica Italiana, and Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems. He has received notable recognition including election to the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei (2021) and Academia Europaea (2020).
