Carla Y. White

Carla Y. White is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Advancement and Clinical Education and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Culture and Well-being at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She holds dual roles in academic leadership and DEI strategy, with expertise in cultural intelligence, organizational equity, and wellness initiatives. Her work bridges pharmacy education and systemic change, focusing on marginalized groups.

White previously served as CEO of Harris Health Consulting, Director of the Pharmaceutical Care Labs, and a pharmacist at WRAL-TV. She has secured $1.6 million in grants and authored foundational DEI frameworks in pharmacy education. Key contributions include the AACP EDI Institute and diversification taskforces.

Her research emphasizes BIPOC faculty well-being, cultural intelligence in education, and strategic DEI implementation. Over 100 invited presentations highlight her leadership in health equity. Awards recognize her as an award-winning educator, mentor, and leader.
