معرفی
Carl Ventrice is an Associate Professor at the College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering, University at Albany. He serves as the Graduate Program Coordinator and focuses on surface/interface science, graphene-based nanoelectronics, and self-assembled monolayers.
His research explores how surface and interface properties affect solid-state device performance, including studies of half-metallic oxides, graphene synthesis on semiconducting substrates, and polar oxide stability. Key areas include electronic transport, thermal reduction of graphene oxide, and metal/semiconductor interfaces.
The 15 most recent publications highlight trends in nanotechnology, materials science, and semiconductor engineering. Topics include lithography enhancement, neuromorphic computing materials, self-assembled monolayer interactions, and graphene growth techniques, reflecting interdisciplinary work in 2D materials, oxide films, and nanoscale device fabrication.
Carl Ventrice earned a PhD in Physics (1991), MS in Physics (1987) from Drexel University, and BS in Mechanical Engineering (1985) from Tennessee Tech University.
His laboratory affiliations include NanoFab East and the CNSE Innovation Lab. Work spans experimental design, scanning tunneling microscopy, and characterization of electronic and magnetic properties at atomic scales.
