معرفی
Dr. Bing Liu is a Research Fellow at the Department of Experimental Physics IV at the University of Würzburg. His research focuses on advanced materials science, surface physics, and quantum phenomena, with emphasis on 2D materials, superconductivity, and nanostructure engineering. He leads the Claessen group, specializing in oxide interfaces and nanophysics at surfaces. His work includes investigations into graphene-based systems, quantum spin Hall insulators, and magnetotransport properties.
Key research areas include the development of environmentally stable quantum materials, epitaxial growth techniques for covalent substrates, and manipulation of electronic/magnetic properties via hydrogenation. Liu has contributed to groundbreaking studies on graphene nanoribbons, surface-supported metal-organic frameworks, and charge density waves in monolayers. His group actively engages in collaborative projects involving experimental and theoretical methods, such as scanning tunneling microscopy and density functional theory.
Liu's recent publications (2016–2024) reveal a sustained focus on superconductivity mechanisms in thin films, interfacial effects in heterostructures, and real-space characterization of novel electronic phases. His work bridges fundamental physics with potential applications in nanoelectronics and quantum technologies.
