Carl Mather is a Lecturer at Bangor Business School, Bangor University, where he teaches Marketing (in Welsh), Marketing Strategy, International Marketing, and Operations Strategy. With a diverse background spanning academia, marketing, and leadership roles, he previously held director positions at Coleg Menai and Grwp Llandrillo Menai, leading branding and marketing strategies. He transitioned to consultancy before returning to teaching. His research interests focus on branding, customer profiling, and communication channels. He contributed a chapter to a Welsh-language marketing textbook for undergraduates and professionals.
Carl actively engages in community roles, serving on the board of Agored (vocational qualifications validation), a school governing body, and the organizing committee of Gwyl Felinheli festival. He has led the Skills & Innovation voucher scheme project 'Creadigol Design - Midi' (2024).
