Carissa Kim is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the College of Business at James Madison University. Her expertise focuses on organizational frontline management, salesperson management, and marketing strategy. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2023), an M.B.A. in Marketing from Missouri State University (2015), and a B.S. in International Business Management from Missouri State University (2013).
Dr. Kim has received notable recognitions including the AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium Fellowship (2022) and multiple awards from the University of Nebraska, such as the Graduate Teaching and Service Awards (2022). Her research has been supported by grants from the University Sales Center Alliance (2020) and Direct Selling Education Foundation (2019). Her work emphasizes salesforce effectiveness, customer engagement, and strategic marketing in retail and service environments.
