Camille Weanquoi is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Dance at Coppin State University. She holds a B.A. in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Winston Salem State University, and an MFA in Choreography from Wilson College. She serves as the visionary director of Camille W. Dance, a culturally immersive dance consulting firm, and leads the Baltimore Black Dance Collective and the Baltimore Black Choreographers Festival. Her work focuses on preserving and evolving Black dance traditions, leveraging dance as a tool for social justice and community empowerment.

Her research explores African Diasporic dance forms, liberatory pedagogy, and the intersection of dance with memory, identity, and liberation. She is currently training for Dunham Technique Teacher Certification and actively engages in oral history and archival projects to document Black dance traditions.
Camille advocates for culturally responsive dance education at HBCUs and uses performance and community partnerships to foster healing and empowerment.
