Dr. Cameron Ian Allen is a sustainability scientist and international expert in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of New South Wales and Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash Sustainable Development Institute. He also holds a Senior Advisor position with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
His research focuses on applying systems thinking, scenario planning, and integrated assessment modelling to demonstrate how SDGs can guide policy and investment decisions for a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, he has worked extensively with the United Nations, Australian Government departments, research institutions, and international NGOs.

His interdisciplinary work bridges sustainable development, environmental science, and policy analysis, responding to complex global challenges shaped by interrelated shocks and megatrends. Professional experience includes roles at the Australian Department of Climate Change, Department of Environment, Australian Bureau of Statistics, NSW Government, and as a UN advisor on green economy and environmental management.
