- Research Faculty I, Florida Center for Reading Research
- Specializes in developmental modeling and educational policy
Dr. Little's research investigates two primary areas: (a) individual differences in cognitive and related behaviors, and (b) environmental mapping via geocoding to assess how family/school contexts shape developmental patterns. Her methods include growth mixture modeling, meta-analysis, and twin studies.
Recent work spans 2025 articles on pediatric medication adherence and online education's impact on parental involvement, alongside 2024 studies examining COVID-19's environmental moderation, HLE influences on spelling, and reading disability identification. Earlier projects include longitudinal analyses of reading fluency and math skills from 2022-2023.
She has received support from the William T. Grant Foundation for her work on vulnerability to reading difficulties. Her publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches bridging educational psychology, behavioral genetics, and public health.
