Callie Hisek serves as Associate Professor of Theatre and Theatre Program Coordinator within the Department of Art, Theatre and Dance at West Texas A&M University's Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities. She holds the distinguished Royal R. Brantley Endowed Professorship in Theatre Studies, reflecting significant contributions to theatre education and academic leadership.
Her professional focus encompasses:
- Theatre pedagogy for grades EC-12
- Performance theory and practice
- Acting and directing methodologies
- Dramatic literature analysis
- Curriculum development for B.F.A. programs
Professor Hisek oversees the Theatre major (B.A.), Theatre Education track (Grades EC-12), and coordinates specialized B.F.A. programs in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Design & Technology. She maintains active involvement in departmental productions and student mentorship within the university's performance facilities including the Mary Moody Northen Hall theater complex.
