Jon Revett serves as Professor of Art and Department Head within the Department of Art, Theatre and Dance at West Texas A&M University's Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities. He joined the faculty in 2013 as Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing after prior instructional roles, building a 20+ year collegiate teaching career across West Texas A&M University, Amarillo College, and Art Center Design College in Albuquerque.

Professor Revett's creative practice centers on abstract painting while demonstrating mastery across diverse media including drawing, sculpture, computer art, and contemporary practices. His nationally exhibited work is held in institutional and private collections, and he maintains specialized expertise in Land Art through his authoritative knowledge of Robert Smithson's Amarillo Ramp—serving as official tour guide for international visitors for over a decade.

As Department Head, Professor Revett oversees academic operations while maintaining active creative engagement through the WT Experimental Gallery at Sunset Center, where he co-coordinates exhibitions and provides students with professional gallery management experience. His Amarillo Ramp tours facilitate international art community connections, bridging academic study with real-world professional networks.
