Caitlin Ray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Resource Studies at Cornell University's ILR School. Her research examines how employees collectively generate organizational value through human capital resources, with focus on dynamic group composition factors like employee mobility and relational properties including social capital.
Current investigations explore internal mobility patterns, human capital emergence through social networks, and value congruence effects on team performance. Her work integrates micro-level individual behaviors with macro-level organizational outcomes across diverse contexts including military personnel transitions.
Educational background includes a PhD in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, an MBA from Fayetteville State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of New Hampshire.
