Buki Fatona holds the position of Tutor in Christian Ethics and Postgraduate Programme Director at Ripon College Cuddesdon, University of Oxford. Their research critically engages ancient and medieval theological concepts of memory and prediction with contemporary cognitive neuroscience and philosophy of mind.

Research interests include the intersection of cognitive science and religious thought, focusing on memory and imagination in antiquity (e.g., Aristotle) and the Middle Ages (Augustine of Hippo and Thomas Aquinas). They currently lead the Phil-Sci-Theo discussion series exploring philosophy of science and religion. Active in academic service, they organized the University’s first Women in Theology colloquium as part of the Faculty’s Equality and Diversity committee.
Teaching focuses on Christian Ethics, Science and Religion, and Philosophy of Religion.
