Dr. Brynmor Breese is Lecturer in Human Physiology (Education) at the University of Plymouth's School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health. He teaches exercise physiology across undergraduate levels and leads two modules: BIOL2415 (Exercise Physiology) and BIOL2418 (Methods in Exercise and Nutrition Science).
His research investigates physiological adaptations to exercise training, focusing on muscle bioenergetics, cardiovascular responses, metabolic changes during maturation, and exercise interventions for chronic disease prevention. His teaching philosophy emphasizes applying cutting-edge research to examine physiological adaptations and develop critical thinking skills.
Dr. Breese's laboratory-based instruction covers exercise testing protocols for fitness assessment and clinical applications. He teaches courses including Nutritional and Exercise Epidemiology, Athletic Performance, and Diet/Exercise in Chronic Disease.
