Shireen Rahman serves as Clinical Professor in the Exercise and Sport Performance Department at the University of New England, teaching across Applied Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Physician Assistant, and Physical Therapy programs. Her instructional portfolio includes Gross Anatomy, Clinical Anatomy, Exercise Management of Chronic Diseases, and Bioenergetics.
Research interests encompass clinical exercise physiology applications, anatomical education methodologies, sports nutrition science, and chronic disease interventions through physical activity. She holds certifications as Athletic Trainer and Sport Nutrition Specialist (CISSN).
Teaching honors include multiple Distinguished Teaching Excellence Awards, Academic Advising Excellence Award, and selection as inaugural Teaching Scholar in UNE's Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
