Bryce Lease

Bryce Lease is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research spans cultural memory, difficult histories, gender studies, and the political dimensions of performance across global contexts including Poland, South Africa, Colombia, and Spain.

• Co-Editor of Contemporary Theatre Review
• Founding member of EASTAP Executive Committee
• Advisory board member for European Stages
• Developed MA Theatre Directing program at RHUL

His research explores intersections between:

• Performance practices and post-conflict reconciliation
• Museums and public memory of traumatic histories
• Queer communities and archival preservation
• Cultural geography in theatre production
