Bryan Lee is a Lecturer in Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD), where he teaches courses such as Cultural Cartographies: Visualizing Cultural Narratives in the Built Environment. He is also the founder and Design Director of Colloqate Design, a nonprofit organization in New Orleans focused on expanding community access to design and fostering racial, social, and cultural equity through built environments.
His work integrates design justice principles with grassroots community engagement, exemplified by his leadership of award-winning national youth design programs and co-founding the Design As Protest (DAP) Collective. Lee's recognitions include being named one of Fast Company's Most Creative People in Business (2018), a USC Annenberg MacArthur Civic Media Fellow, and the youngest design firm to win the Architectural League’s Emerging Voices Award (2019).
Lee's research explores cultural narratives in urban spaces and the intersection of design with social justice. He has organized high-profile events such as Black Radical Space: The Black School and Bryan C. Lee Jr in conversation, furthering dialogues on race and architecture.
