معرفی
Dr. Bruno V. Rego is an Assistant Professor specializing in cardiovascular biomechanics at LSU. His research combines computational modeling with experimental approaches to study soft tissue mechanics in heart valves and blood vessels.
Key research areas:
- Growth and remodeling mechanisms
- Image-based simulation frameworks
- Aortic aneurysm pathogenesis
- Machine learning in biomechanics
Rego develops multiscale models to simulate mitral valve plasticity post-myocardial infarction and aortic dissection progression. His Cardiovascular Engineering Lab creates computational tools for predicting tissue-level responses to physiological stresses. He teaches Quantitative Biology and Data Analysis courses for bioengineering students.
