John-Peder Kvitting is an Associate Professor at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, University of Oslo, and a Senior Consultant at Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet. He received his M.D. in 2002 and Ph.D. in 2004 from Linköping University, Sweden, focusing on cardiovascular flow and myocardial function. From 2008-2010, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine under Professor D. Craig Miller.
