Bruce Shiramizu

Dr. Bruce Shiramizu is a Professor in the Departments of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology & Pharmacology, and Pediatrics at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), University of Hawaii at Manoa. He serves as an Investigator at the Hawaii Center for AIDS and is a practicing physician at the Clint Spencer Clinic (CSC). His research focuses on HIV-associated diseases and complications, particularly through a clinical translational laboratory. Dr. Shiramizu received his MD from the University of Utah and completed training at the National Cancer Institute, NIH. He collaborates with CSC physicians and community partners in anal cancer screening programs. His work emphasizes understanding the chronic and systemic impacts of HIV on patient health.
