Bruce Pratt is a Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Maine. He holds an MFA from the University of Southern Maine (2004) and an MA in English from the University of Maine (2001), with a focus on creative writing and critical theory. His research interests emphasize creative writing pedagogy, alongside studies in Religion/Philosophy, Irish Literature, Hockey Literature, and Canadian Literature. Pratt has authored multiple books including the novel *The Serpents of Blissful*, poetry collection *Boreal*, and short story collection *The Trash Detail*. His plays like *Barter* (2010) and *Beaching* (2011) have been performed in festivals, winning audience choice awards. His works appear in over 50 journals across North America and Europe.
