Claire Donato is an Adjunct Associate Professor and Assistant Chairperson in the Writing Department at Pratt Institute’s School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She serves as an MFA Advisor, supervising capstone theses and teaching electives such as Autofiction, Digital Poetry, and Psychoanalysis in Literature. Her creative work spans poetry, fiction, and interdisciplinary projects, including a chapbook paired with a video game. Donato has taught at institutions like Brown University and Parsons School of Design.

Research & Creative Interests: Donato’s work explores themes of identity, psychoanalysis, and narrative form through creative writing and interdisciplinary collaborations. Her publications include poetry collections, short story collections, and critical essays.
Publications & Projects: Recent works include Woebegone and Other Poems (2025) and Kind Mirrors, Ugly Ghosts (2023). She co-founded the Speculating the Environment project, a cross-disciplinary initiative exploring ecological prediction and speculative fiction.
