Mark Fitzgerald is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Maryland, College Park. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Franklin and Marshall College and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from George Mason University. His academic and creative work focuses on poetry that explores existential themes, the relationship between humanity and nature, and the transformative power of ordinary moments. Fitzgerald has been awarded fellowships from Oxford and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and his poetry appears in journals like Crab Creek Review, Beltway Poetry Quarterly, and Temenos.
